Mario
Mario needs no introduction. The Italian plumber is protagonist of the best-selling video game franchise of all time, showing up in over 200 video games since his creation. Besides his main games, where he is always trying to beat Bowser and rescue Princess Peach, he already did roles in games as athlete, pilot, and doctor.
Luigi
Luigi is the taller twin brother of Mario. Appears in many games in Mario franchise as a sidekick to his brother. However, he was in a starring role on three occasions: Mario is Missing (1991), Luigi's Mansion (2001), and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (2013).
Princess Peach
Peach is the princess of Mushroom Kingdom. She is always being kidnapped by Bowser and has appeared in almost every Mario game. Was a playabe character for the first time in Super Mario Bros. 2, and is the main protagonist in Super Princess Peach for Nintendo DS.
Bowser
Also known as King Koopa, is one of the greatest villains in gaming history. His first appearance was as the kidnapper Princess Peach, in Super Mario Bros..
Wario
It is a villain in the Mario games. Wario's name comes from the combination of the words "Mario" and "warui" (meaning bad in Japanese). His first appearance was in 1992 as an opponent of Mario in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins for the Game Boy.
